Troubleshooting led christmas light strings.
Look for the lights that have a splash of red on the bulb near the bottom.
Most brands of led christmas light incorporate a fuse in each strand.
I have a string of led christmas lights with a problem about 1 2 of the lights are on but very dim the other second half is on normal.
Led strings can fail when led leads corrode or wires break or fuses blow.
Then a whole string or perhaps a half string circuit would go out.
These lights are key.
Plug the string of christmas lights into the wall socket.
I fixed mine by taking a copper wire about 1 5 cm 5 8 long and inserting it into the hole alongside the broken terminal wire.
Fixing any broken circuit involves locating the break then repairing it.
If half the string is out look for the dead bulb closet to the end.
If the entire string is out start with a bulb at the end of the string.
Two terminal wires should be visible.
To replace the fuse you must slide the access door open pop out the tiny fuse and replace with a new one.
It can sometimes prove difficult to slide open the access door on a plug.
The next string which is plugged in after the problem string works normal.
Simply plug in the light strand and remove a bulb that s in or near the dark section.
Each string has a control to change the color sequence which works normally.
